Imam Reza shrine holds Islamic Revolution celebrations for foreign pilgrims

The Office for Foreign Pilgrims’ Affairs of Imam Reza holy shrine has arranged many different celebrations and programs for foreign pilgrims of the holy shrine on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Islamic Revolution, with full observance of health protocols because of the Omicron variant of coronavirus pandemic.

Hawzah News Agency –The office has planned various programs for non-Iranian lovers of Imam Khomeini’s thoughts and beliefs particularly young people in different languages including Arabic, Urdu, Azeri, and English.
The festivities, known as the Ten-Day Dawn, were kicked off at Dar al-Rahmah portico with ceremonies marking the return of Imam Khomeini (RA), the late founder of the Islamic Republic, to the country after 15 years in exile.
Famous Iranian and foreign lecturers are keynote speakers of these daily ceremonies which are held at both real and virtual spaces. Ceremonies and programs held at Dar al-Rahmah, Ghadir, and Dar al-Marhamah porticos cover different age groups and will be continued up to the day of nationwide rally of the country on February 11.
The Islamic Revolution toppled US-backed Pahlavi regime and established a new ruling system based on Islamic values and democracy after Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini (RA) returned to Iran from exile on February 1, 1979.
